Who doesn't love s'mores?! They are my absolute favorite. There are so many ways to enjoy them without having a campfire and I thought I would share a few here today :)

#54. Go to a movie by myself

Yay! Accomplished something else on my list. This one was actually pretty easy. I really like going to the movies by myself. Since being married means its not usually an option I put it on the list- so I would have an excuse to do it at least one more time. :)

So today while Eric was off at school I journeyed on over to the dollar theater (big spender!) and saw Just Go With It, with Adam Sandler and Jennifer Anniston. You can see the trailer here. Pretty funny stuff :)

Renovations... kinda ;)

Well, for those of you who may not know, hubby and I recently moved into a new house. Not exactly new, 7ish years old, but has only had one family in it before us (hubby's brothers!) and has been kept up quite nicely. There are just a few things that I would change, and most have to do with paint color! Here is the first of many painting projects!

First Anniversary

Yesterday hubby and I celebrated our first anniversary. We decided that since he had been so busy with school that we would just stay in, cook together, and watch movies. Here is what we came up with: :)

Peach Cobbler and Gumbo! (A nod to our new southern living)

We decided to follow the traditional/modern first year anniversary gifts. If you don't know what I am talking about a complete list can be found here. First year trad/mod gifts are paper/clocks. The color is papyrus yellow! A fav! Here is a little peek of gifts we got each other:

We also had the top tier of our wedding cake packaged and in the freezer for this special anniversary. Everyone was telling us it was going to taste like dirt, but it was really pretty good! Probably 'cause my mom made it, and she is awesome. Funfetti was my husbands choice for the wedding cake ;)

#41. Read 15 new books. (1/15)

Well, I finally did something on my list. I know, I know, that took me a long time, but hopefully I will be on a roll now. :)

This is the first of 15 new books I want to read. My gram gave this to me on a recent adventure to her house, and I could not put it down! I have heard many people rave about Karen Kingsbury, but never had the pleasure of reading one of her books. It has everything you want in a good book: drama, passion, love - but at the same time beautifully ties in the message of the Gospel. I definitely recommend this as a good read for you :)
